Thank you for showing an interest in the position of Service Director – Adult Care and Support with Cornwall Council.
This is a pivotal moment for social care provision in Cornwall and the role of Service Director for Adult Care and Support will play an essential part in the remodelling and improvement of Adult Care provision in the County.
We believe that caring for older people, vulnerable citizens and those with multiple long-term conditions is a top priority for community services and we know we can do better. That is why we recently decided to separate our children and adult services leadership and a new Strategic Director (Adult Social Care and Health) will join the council in April 2018 to drive forward the improvements we need to make. The next important appointment is our Service Director for Adult Care and Support.
We are seeking an exceptional individual to drive forward the programme of transformation to deliver our new model of social work practice. This will involve embedding a person-centred approach through our 3 conversations model, leading service and practice improvement and working with the LEP as part of our devolution deal to help Cornwall to be an exemplar site for robotics and technology in the delivery of health and care.
This is an incredibly exciting time for Adult Services in Cornwall so please read on to find out more about The Council, The Place and The Role.
